Watertown Educator Deb Shephard Signing “Zeke’s Big Mistake” Sat., Apr. 9, 1 to 3 pm
April 9, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Retired Watertown educator Deb Shephard will be signing copies of her new illustrated children’s book, “Zeke’s Big Mistake,” Sat., April 9, from 1 to 3 pm at DDR Books in Downtown Watertown.
Zeke’s good life is turned upside down when he makes a big mistake! Who could’ve known it would start him on a journey to the best cat-life ever. Written from the cat’s perspective, this true story is illustrated with colorful pictures of Zeke’s interesting saga.
Zeke’s story takes place in Watertown, where he lives with Shephard and her husband, retired teacher Scott, and Zeke’s security kitten, Zoe. The illustrators are Deb and Gary Ernst, local artists. Any profits are donated to the Glacial Lakes Humane Society to help them care for homeless cats and dogs (even though Zeke does not like dogs).
Shephard is a former educator, counselor, and administrator. She was a proud member of the awesome team at Lake Area Technical College for 36 years. Her column, “View From An Empty Nest,” appeared in the Watertown Public Opinion from 2002 to 2006. Having raised two boys, the Shephards are now grandparents to three little girls.
Signed copies of “Zeke’s Big Mistake” can be purchased at DDR Books for $10.99.
