Two-Part Series on Book Collection & Preservation, Night Two

Great Aunt Lucy left you with a gorgeous old book you’d love to collect more like? Or have a favorite childhood book you’d like to hand down to your kids but want to learn how to protect it first?

Renowned book collector Donus Roberts of DDR Books will host a special two-part series on a variety of subjects related to book collection and preservation on upcoming Wednesdays Nov. 1 and Nov. 15, 7 to 8:30 pm.

Night One, Nov. 1, will focus on the basics of book collecting and their preservation: what makes a book valuable, what type of books to collect, understanding a book’s publication information, making minor repairs, and more.

Night Two, Nov. 18, will center on collecting first editions and other points that make a book highly collectible.

Both sessions are free and will be held at DDR Books at 7 S. Maple in Downtown Watertown, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own books to the sessions for discussion.
