Fr. Jerome Holtzman book signing Thursday, Oct. 24, 3 p.m.

Fr. Jerome Holtzman will be signing copies of his new book, “My Story, My Mission, A Memoir,” Thursday, Oct. 24, at 3 p.m. at DDR Books.
Fr. Holtzman, a priest formerly at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown, writes, “I originally envisioned this project for my nephews and nieces, thinking they might pass it on to their children or grandchildren. This would have consisted of a few stories of my family origins and my occupations, which would have been a simple enough task. That was my innocent understanding. However, there gradually emerged a recurring leitmotif that demanded articulation with much more detail reflecting travels, education, faith, church and vocation leading up to a mission. As a priest, I could not casually cover these topics without revealing my very personal persuasions and relationships.”
Each copy will be $20, which profits going to Abbey of the Hills in Marvin, SD.
