Anniversary Week–Sat., 6/18: Jane Miner Day & Book Release (with Lois Hart)

The final day of our Anniversary Week celebration boasts an extraordinary day of events.

Watertown author Jane Miner will sign the first copies of the final volume of her history of Downtown Watertown: “Uptown, Downtown: Kemp Avenue” — available now only at DDR Books!

A special bonus will be her sister, Watertown author Lois Hart, signing copies of her works, beloved by children and their grandparents, many of whom will recognize the Watertown of their youth as the setting of Hart’s gentle adventures.

Saturday, June 18

12-3 p.m.             Jane Miner Day & “Uptown, Downtown: Kemp Avenue” Book Release & Signing – The final volume in Jane Miner’s “Uptown, Downtown” series, this historical catalogue of buildings on Watertown’s Kemp Avenue is a testament to Miner’s exhaustive research and Watertown’s fascinating past, teeming with descriptive detail and images. Only at DDR Books!

12-3 p.m.             Lois Hart Book Signing – Lois Hart’s nostalgic and touching children’s and young-adult books appeal to just as many grown-ups, who will recognize 1950s-and-1960s’ Watertown, where her stories of childhood adventure come to life.
